JIU-JITSU BRASILEIRO – ARVIN WIDDER

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has become the hottest, most in demand, and fastest growing martial art. Reputable and legitimate world class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners and instructors are in short supply. However, if you are in Sarajevo, then you are in luck!

The very first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club in Bosnia and Herzegovina opened in 2000. Arvin Widder, a successful Judoka and multiple judo champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the time, currently the only BJJ black belt in BiH, founded BJJ club BAHIA. The club was named after Bahia, Brazil, the state of Edson Carvalho, Brazil’s Judo and BJJ champion and Arvin’s Sensei.

Owing to our community-based method of instruction, beginners are integrated into ongoing classes with advanced students. Newcomers learn not only from their instructor, but also from more experienced students, providing a wider pool of knowledge, wisdom and technique, allowing them to quickly master the BJJ basics.
